Can a foal over ingest any nutrients by consuming 2 to 12 along with nursing from the mare? Following the feeding instructions will allow you to provide the correct nutrient levels for your foal. Will a foal miss out on any key nutrients by, maybe, not nursing as much? No. Mare's milk will no longer provide optimum nutrition after the foal is 60 days of age. 2 to 12 will simply supplement those nutrients not supplied by the mother's milk. Can I feed too much? Yes, we always suggest you follow the feeding instructions for best results.
